Privacy

At Moovaza Ltd (trading as RunCats), privacy, confidentiality, and security are extremely important.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy sets out how we look after any data we collect from you, how we use it, who we share it with and how long we keep it for. This Privacy Policy will also tell you about privacy rights and how the law protects you.

This Privacy Policy relates to your access and use of our website at runcatsapp.com, and any connected software, tools, or features related to RunCats.

Who are we?

Moovaza Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales under number 16463779. Our registered office is at 85 Great Portland Street, First Floor, London, United Kingdom, W1W 7LT.

Moovaza Ltd is trading as RunCats.

When you interact with RunCats (like emailing us or signing up), we’re what’s called the “data controller.” That just means we’re responsible for how your data is used.

As RunCats evolves into a full web and mobile app, if you upload content or use tools inside the platform, we may also act as a data processor on your behalf. That means if you upload content or create an account, you own that data and we only process it to provide the service for which you signed up.

What data we collect (and when)

Right now, we don’t collect any personal data just from you browsing the site.

We store IP addresses on Cloudflare for 1 hour for security, but no other information is attached to it.

If you subscribe to a newsletter, or email us, we’ll collect only the info you give us, like your name and email.

How we use your data

We use your info to reply to messages you send us, send updates you’ve signed up for, or understand what people want from the RunCats app.

We may use general, non-identifiable trends in survey responses to help plan features or improvements.

We don’t sell your data, share your data with any 3rd parties, or use it for any sneaky tracking.

We may use aggregate numbers and non-identifiable information to inform and grow RunCats

We use the IP address on Cloudflare for security and to prevent spam. This is not linked to any personal information.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, we’ll only email you when there’s something meaningful, like new features, early access, feedback opportunities, or updates.

We may ask for location optionally to help plan app rollouts and reach runners worldwide, but you never have to give it.

We may look at overall stats (like how many people opened an email) to guide what we send in the future. This info is never tied to you personally.

Emails and messages

If you email us, we’ll only use your info to respond. We won’t sign you up to anything or share your messages without permission.

Once your query is resolved, we’ll delete the info unless there’s a good reason to keep it (like ongoing collaboration).

Surveys and feedback

Surveys are designed to identify what runners want or need.

Unless stated otherwise, these are anonymous and are only used to improve RunCats.

Cookies

Right now, this website doesn’t use cookies.

In the future, we will add cookies to help us provide necessary functionality (like secure login), accept payment, fix bugs, or understand how people are using the website and app.

Third parties

We use trusted partners like Mailchimp (for newsletters), Stripe (for payments), Cloudflare, and AWS. Cloudflare and AWS are necessary for hosting our site, data, and security.

These services only get the info they need and never use it for their own marketing.

We choose providers carefully and make sure they meet high standards for data protection and security.

As we add more integrations, we’ll update this policy to reflect any new third parties we work with.

Where your data goes

Some data is stored securely in the UK or EU.

We also use services like Mailchimp, which may store data outside the UK (e.g. in the US).

We use trusted providers to keep your data protected.

How your data is stored

We only keep the data you give us (like your email address) for as long as we need it—for example, to reply to you or send you the newsletter (if you signed up).

We store it securely and delete it when it’s no longer needed.

We use Cloudflare and Amazon AWS servers to store user data. The information you provide to us to be able to use RunCats will be stored in Europe.

How is your information protected?

We use Amazon AWS servers to host our services. All information sent between your device and our platform is encrypted using industry-standard SSL connections.

We also use Cloudflare to serve this website and help protect our platform from attacks and improve performance.

Only people who need access to your data (for example, to respond to a message you sent us or help resolve a query) are allowed to access your data. They’re required to keep it confidential.

Though no system can be 100% secure, we follow industry best practices to protect your data, both when it’s being transmitted and when it’s stored.

We will never sell or share your personal data unless we're required to by law.

If a serious data breach occurs, we will notify you and act in line with UK law.

Why we’re allowed to use your data

UK data laws require us to have a reason to use your data. Here are the main ones:

• You gave us consent (like signing up for the newsletter).

• You created an account or used features.

• We’re improving the app or protecting our site (legitimate interest). Where possible, data will be anonymized, with no identifiable information.

You can ask us to stop using your data or withdraw consent at any time.

Your privacy rights

You can ask us any time to:

• Show you what info we have about you

• Correct or delete your information

• Stop using your data in certain ways

• Move your data somewhere else

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected] and we’ll help.

Concerns?

If you’re not happy with how we handle your data, we’d love a chance to sort it out. Please email us first!

You also have the right to complain to the UK data protection regulator, the ICO: https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/

Changes to this policy

If anything changes, we’ll update this page and change the “Last updated” date.

As RunCats grows, we’ll keep this policy up to date with what the app and website does.
