Who we are

RunCats is operated by Moovaza Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 16463779. Our registered office is at 85 Great Portland Street, First Floor, London, United Kingdom, W1W 7LT.

Who can use RunCats

You must be 18 or over to use RunCats. This is because RunCats is centered around meeting other people to go running with them. By signing up or using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

One account per person, and you can only use your account for yourself, not for someone else.

Your account

You'll need to create an account to use the RunCats web or mobile app. Please keep your password safe and let us know if you think someone has accessed your account without your permission.

You're responsible for your device and for anything that happens under your account.

Using RunCats

You agree to use RunCats in a fair and legal way. Don't use it to do anything unlawful, spammy, or harmful.

We may remove accounts or content if we believe it's abusive, fake, fraudulent, or breaks these terms.

You may not misrepresent yourself or create accounts for anyone else without their permission.

You may not use RunCats to promote a product, service, or business without our written permission.

RunCats is a space that supports healthy, balanced running. Content that promotes eating disorders, extreme dieting, or harmful behaviors is not allowed.

You will not use RunCats to collect personal data from other users without their consent.

You will not give medical advice or diagnoses.

You'll need to accept the RunCats Community Code when creating an account. It outlines the shared values and expectations we hold to keep this space respectful and safe for everyone.

Respectful behavior

RunCats is a place to connect with others in a safe, respectful way.

You agree not to use RunCats to harass, bully, threaten, or target others.

You must not upload or share anything illegal, abusive, or sexually explicit. You will also consider the feelings and perspectives of others when sharing content. When in doubt, keep it PG.

Hate speech or discrimination will not be tolerated.

You should not include violence, weapons, gambling, or adult themes in profiles or chats.

We reserve the right to suspend or remove any accounts that go against these principles.

RunCats has blocking and reporting features to help you manage your experience. If someone is making you uncomfortable or breaking the rules, please use these tools or contact us.

Acceptable use

You can use RunCats to create a profile and connect with runners in your local area or abroad.

You can create and join group runs.

You can chat with other runners on the app only after both users have mutually connected in the app.

These activities can be carried out while adhering to the respectful behavior guidelines.

Your data

We take privacy seriously. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

You'll always have control over your own content and can request to export or delete it. We do not sell or misuse your info.

If anything illegal is done on RunCats (e.g. someone sending threats), or we are contacted by law enforcement, we will comply with legal requirements.

For security and to mitigate disruptions to services, we hold backups for up to 30 days.

Subscriptions and payments

The terms of RunCats Club (our premium tier) are outlined when you sign up for payments. This includes what you get, what it costs, and how often it renews.

You can cancel anytime, and we'll let you know if anything changes in price before your next billing cycle.

Payments are handled through Stripe, the Apple App Store, and Google Play. We do not have access to any payment information like card number or addresses.

After cancelling, you will still have access to your subscription until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds

We'll offer a refund within 7 days of your first subscription payment if you're not satisfied. If you'd like to request a refund, please get in touch.

Beyond that, refunds will generally not be available. Contact us if you have any questions or if there are issues. We will try to help where we can.

Refunds for subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store are handled by Apple and subject to their policies.

Refunds for subscriptions purchased through Google Play are handled by Google and subject to their policies.

Third-party tools and links

We currently use Mailchimp for our newsletter. Subscribing to it will take you through the Mailchimp flow.

Intellectual property

The RunCats name, logo, and everything you see or read on this site — unless otherwise credited — is the intellectual property of Moovaza Ltd.

Please don't copy, reuse, or adapt our content, design, or code without permission.

Feedback and ideas

We love hearing from people who use RunCats. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the app — but we don't promise compensation or credit unless explicitly agreed.

Availability

We aim to keep RunCats running smoothly, but sometimes we may need to take it offline for maintenance or updates. We'll keep disruptions to a minimum.

Like most of the internet, our infrastructure uses Cloudflare and AWS. Outages in their services may affect RunCats. We are exploring ways of reducing this dependency in the future.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time. We may also suspend or delete accounts that break these terms or disrupt the service for others.

You can delete your RunCats account at any time inside the web or mobile app settings using the “Delete account” button

If we delete your account, we'll try to give reasonable notice so you can decide what to do with the data, however breaking the terms or the law (e.g. harassment, violence, threats) may mean your account gets instantly suspended.

If you delete your account, we will not be able to recover your data later. It is gone the moment you press "DELETE".

Legal

These terms are governed by English law. If a dispute arises, the courts of England will have jurisdiction.

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest will still apply.

Limitation of liability

RunCats helps people discover and connect with other runners, but we don’t organize, supervise, or control any runs. Any decision to meet, run together, or take part in an activity arranged through the app is your own.

RunCats may share general running tips and suggestions for informational purposes only. We do not provide medical, health, or personalized training advice, and you use any tips at your own discretion.

You are responsible for your own safety, health, and well-being when using RunCats, including during any in-person meetups. To the fullest extent permitted by law, RunCats is not responsible for injuries, losses, or damages that may arise from interactions with other users or from activities you choose to take part in.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date.

By continuing to use the site and services, you accept any updates we make.
